Winter in the Berkshires

The winter season in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts is filled with activity. For instance, ski slopes and hiking trails are ready for those who enjoy the outdoors.  And there’s plenty of culture too. The Berkshires museums are uncrowded and have a variety of offerings.  Our location in Lenox, MA is convenient and central. For example, we’re near the Norman Rockwell Museum, the Clart Art Institute and MassMOCA.  We ourselves visited the Clark Art Institute recently.  While we were there, we saw the latest exhibition of paintings by Turner and Constable.  In addition,  there are concert and theater venues, such as the Colonial and Mahaiwe Theaters, Close Encounters With Music, and Shakespeare & Co.
