Victor Borge: Take One at Ventfort Hall, March 25th, 2017Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum just announced the presentation of “Victor Borge: Take One” Tea & Talk with Rikke Borge, March 25th, 2017! This rare and exciting event returns by popular demand, as anyone familiar with Victor Borge will understand!

Victor Borge (1909-2000) was a Danish-American conductor, concert pianist, and comedian. He achieved fame and popularity through Europe and the U.S. with his unique blend of classical music and comedy.

The key to Victor’s success was the depth of his talent. Not only was he hysterically funny, he could actually play the piano – and not just a little. Victor Borge regularly performed with top symphony orchestras as a world-renowned concert pianist. As an entertainer, he was one of a kind, generating packed houses of international audiences whenever he appeared.

Anyone who has ever seen one of Victor Borge’s performances knows how amazingly talented and funny he was. Anyone who hasn’t seen one of his routines really needs to!

“Victor Borge: Take One” is a talk and series of video clips presented by Frederikke Borge, from her private collection. Frederikke (who goes by “Rikke”) is Victor’s daughter. She recalls having “the best childhood that could ever be had” with her father. “It’s been downhill ever since,” she says.

Rikke studied acting at Carnegie Mellon and with Stella Adler, Uta Hagen, and Sanford Meisner. She has appeared as an actor in her own right on stage, TV, and feature films. When in the Berkshires, Rikke trains and boards horses.

Rikke has presented memories of her father once before at Ventfort Hall, in October of 2015. The show was so entertaining that popular demand has brought her back to its stage once again. “Victor Borge: Take One” will focus on Victor Borge’s twin talents of music and humor, showcasing him at his legendary funniest on stage.

A Victorian tea follows the presentation.
