Saturday, May 29 and Sunday, May 30, 11-5 p.m., presents art lovers, collectors and the curious with a unique opportunity to be inspired by an array of artistic work and demonstrations by gallery artists…. all in Lenox, Massachusetts in the heart of the Berkshires.
The galleries of Lenox have joined together to organize a wonderful spring celebration on Memorial Weekend. This event will mark its place in the contemporary art world when the galleries host their tenth annual Art Walk.
Lenox has long been a mecca in the Berkshires for patrons of the arts. Galleries in its Historic Lenox Village represent the work of over 500 artists from around the world.
The range of work is wide – painting, sculpture, photography, folk art, outsider art, contemporary fine art, jewelry, pottery, ceramics, glass, wearable art, fiber art and more.
A feast for the eyes, special events and receptions will all be part of the weekend.
The Art Walk is sponsored by the Lenox Gallery Association and the Lenox Chamber of Commerce. The official starting point for the Art Walk is the new Lenox Visitors Center at Town Hall located at 6 Walker Street. A one block walk from Brook Farm Inn. Guide Maps will be available at the Visitors Center as well as at all of the participating galleries, just follow the red, white and blue balloons.
