Ghost Tours — A Halloween Tradition At The Mount

Ghost ToursGhosts at The Mount for Halloween are a tradition at The Mount!  This mansion, formerly Edith Wharton’s home, is right here in Lenox, near Brook Farm Inn.
  October 21, 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm, $20   

On October 28 at 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm, The Mount will offer enhanced and extended ghost tours in celebration of Halloween. These tours will be specially priced as follows: $25 adults  

Special Halloween Ghost Tours on Saturday, October 29, 6 pm: Combination Tour and Reading

Be there for an evening ghost tour followed by a special reading and light refreshments. The tour will include the historic stable and the pet cemetery as well as select areas of the house. The dramatic reading, which will take place at 8 pm in the drawing room after the tour, will feature one of Wharton’s most chilling ghost stories, “The Triumph of Night,” performed by Ariel Bock and Jonathan Epstein. Cider and doughnuts will follow. Costumes are encouraged. 

 Tickets for this event can be purchased by calling 413-551-5100. The price for the tour and reading will be $40 adults, $35 members. Tickets for the reading and refreshments only (without the tour) can be purchased for $15 by calling 413-551-5100. Reservations are required. 

 
11 pm: Late-Night Ghost Tour
Brave-of-heart visitors are invited to go on the traditional late-night tour through the dark corners and creaking hallways of The Mount as the clock ticks past midnight. Who knows what you will encounter on this two-hour tour! Costumes are encouraged, but please wear comfortable shoes and bring a flashlight.  Space is limited and reservations are required.
