For the 32nd annual Apple Squeeze, the Lenox Chamber of Commerce is pulling out all the stops for its extravaganza Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 5.
The annual street fair is a celebration that marks the beginning of the apple harvest and the beginning of the fall foliage season. Local crafters set up booths along with food vendors with apple based themes. Guests of Brook Farm Inn bed and breakfast can easily walk to event.
Among the Saturday musical attractions are the Lenox-based acoustic trio Mountain Breeze at noon, followed by the Housatonic Philharmonic and Whiskey City. Pop singer Tom Gizzy will kick off the entertainment schedule with an 11 a.m. appearance.
An apple-pie baking contest for amateurs will be held on Saturday afternoon at 3. First- and second-place winners will get a cash prize of $100 and $50 respectively, donated by the Apple Tree Inn. After the judging, slices will be sold with proceeds donated to the Lenox Food Pantry.
