Berkshires Memorial Day Weekend Concert

Berkshire Bach, one of the Berkshires’ premier organizations for presenting  baroque music, will present Handel’s Judas Maccabaeus on Sunday, May 29th. It will be a great opportunity to attend a concert in Pittsfield’s Colonial Theatre, a gorgeously renovated historical theater.  In the wake of recent national and international events, the concert will be dedicated to the universal quest for freedom of expression, the pursuit of understanding of other cultures, and the upholding of religious tolerance.
Carl Shuster, President of Berkshire Bach and a friend of Brook Farm Inn in Lenox, observed that “the majesty of the music can inspire all to the task of confronting those who would deny the genuine yearning of all people for self-expression and peace.
