Barred Owl Visits Brook Farm Inn

In the ten years we have been here we have seen many birds.  You can view some of them on our photo gallery.   This week we were visited by a barred owl.  While most owls are nocturnal, the barred owl is sometimes seen hunting during the day.  We have seen barred owls while hiking in local forests.  This is the first time we’ve seen one in our yard.  Coincidentally, we haven’t seen many squirrels lately.  Here are some more pics taken outside the dining room window of our Brook Farm Inn, Brook Farm Inn.
