The summer schedule of performances of the Boston Symphony Orchestra at the Tanglewood Music Center has been released. It promises to be another exciting season in Lenox Massachusetts. Performances begin with a string quartet marathon in Ozawa Hall on June 28th followed by The Mark Morris Dance Company. James Taylor will be performing June 30th, July 1st, 3rd and 4th. Garrison Keillor returns with Prairie Home Companion on Saturday July 2nd. Other highlights of the season include Train (Aug 8th), Film Night (Aug. 20th), appearances by Joshua Bell, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Emanual Ax, Peter Serkin, and four appearances by Yo Yo Ma.
Tickets for James Taylor and Train go on sale Feb. 6th.
Tickets for the Symphony and Pops go on sale Feb. 13th.
