According to the Berkshire Visitors Bureau, this year’s Foliage Season is expected to be a memorable one. Lenox MA is the most centrally located spot for viewing fall colors. You can go hiking, bicycle riding , horseback riding, hot air ballooning, or simply drive your car. Here is a link to suggested driving routes:
We especially like tour number 4 which takes you around Beartown State Forest. If you are planning your visit earlier in the season, some of the North County tours will offer the best colors. Peak moves north to south, so being located in a central spot offers you the best opportunity to see the most brilliant colors. Guests of Brook Farm Inn can use the hiking and biking guide books from our library. We also have maps available and can assist you in making your foliage visit plans. Lenox also offers the best restaurants and shops. Brook Farm Inn is also close to the Norman Rockwell Museum, The Mount, Ventfort Hall, and the Hancock Shaker Village. See our Fall Foliage Special.
