Brook Farm Innkeepers visit Steepletop

Here we are, Linda and Phil, your Lenox B&B innkeepers, visiting Steepletop.  It was Edna St. Vincent Millay’s Berkshires home from 1925 until her death in 1950.  Originally an 1892 farmhouse, with 700 acres,  it’s open to the public  for the first time.  The gardens are in the process of restoration, but are lovely to walk through.  You can also walk the Millay Poetry Trail to her grave, where her nature poetry is posted along the way.  The experience is like stepping into the world that inspired her poetry — our favorite room is the library. Also on view is her writing cabin and a special exhibit, “Where She Lived.” Reservations are necessary, and information is at 518-392-EDNA (3362) or It’s only 20 minutes from Brook Farm Inn!
